Medical breakthroughs move too slowly for the families waiting on them. I believe the same case that works for climate and innovation holds here too, translating urgency into the policy and funding decisions that actually move research forward.

This year, that's meant showing up, attending research conferences focused on rare disease and pediatric care, joining fundraising walks that support families navigating chronic conditions, and making the case for sustained NIH research funding with the people who set it.

This is the newest of the three areas I work in, and where I'm still finding my footing. But it's the same instinct that's carried the rest of my career, get in the room, listen for the pattern, and help build what's needed.
